here is Adults Only for singles and couples. The property is NOT a nudist
resort. |

Temptations Resort is an all inclusive adults only full
service resort in Cancun, Mexico. Most beach resorts in Cancun attract
international guests from countries world wide and Temptations has its share.
So, topless sun bathing is frequent and typical on the beaches there. Nudity is
not yet accepted on the principle beaches as clothing-optional sunbathing
opportunities are not yet the norm for Mexico but we hope they come soon.
Temptations is not a nudist resort; it is an adults only property where topless
sunbathing is accepted and common. This is a great place for a singles or
couples vacation. You can reserve a room with double occupancy or as a single
room for privacy. Do not confuse this resort with its other sister resort in
Cancun, Blue Bay Club across the bay which is a >family< all inclusive
hotel, with reciprocal visitation rights.

Temptations is located on the beach right in the
north hotel zone of Cancun. Temptations Resort's predecessor resort, Playa
Blanca, was the first resort structure built in the hotel zone in the late
1970s when Cancun was born. The present resort faces northward toward the
Mexican Caribbean. A little aside: the surf is almost non-existent on the north
side of the hotel zone and therefore, no pounding waves which tends to spawn
patches of seaweed. Don't expect a pure perfect, endless stretch of white beach
as parts of the sandy bottom is prone to seaweed colonies. This is not a big
deal, just a bit of trivia....there's still plenty of sand to sink your toes
in.
Cancun International Airport is served by airlines world-wide,
offering convenient and frequent service. Temptations is about 30 minutes from
the airport so you can take a taxi, a shuttle transfer or rent a car to see the
area. The distance is only about 15 miles and much of the drive is through
town. A big plus is you don't have to spend much time transferring to the hotel
from the airport.

NOTE: Please take care of your valuables, cash, airline
tickets and passports while on vacation. Some vacation destinations are
considered "third world" countries and experience petty theft. Recommendation:
Do not take precious jewelry unless you wear it all times; keep your cash,
valuables, watches, travel documentation and cameras safe or carry them with
you. Just a word of caution to make sure you remember to practice common sense
with your valuables while you're on vacation.
The resort is full
service, all inclusive, adults only. There are daily activities, nightly
entertainment in an open air theatre setting, non-motorized water sports, wind
surfing, snorkeling, optional scuba diving, adult games, and of course beaches
and 3 swimming pools. The smartest, most fun part of the pool is the four
Jacuzzis located at the free form pool's edge, inside the pool; not beside the
pool and right near the bar. A nice touch is that introductory scuba diving
lessons are provided complimentary before you have to pony up the cash to
actually take diving lessons.
Many beaches in Cancun are topless but
not nude (yet) ! Other features include free bicycles, 6 restaurants, 5 bars,
an exercise room and numerous tours and sight seeing in the area. A fun
activity is to sign on for a jet ski ride through the surrounding everglades
and beautiful lagoons. Boutiques are on site and shops are next door. Tennis
courts are on premises, too.

There are several dining opportunities on site. The first is an
Italian dining restaurant, an Oriental themed restaurant, a buffet for
breakfast, lunch and dinner plus a beachside snack bar. Theme dinners at night
lend some variety to the evening meal occasion. There are also a steakhouse and
a Mexican restaurant on site, too.
Five (5) bars dot the area at the
beach, at the pool and near the lobby.
Here is a list of some of the

your meal. Girls, weat anything nice and enjoy it.

Ages range from 20's to 50's with most in the middle. A
really good choice for singles as there is lots of activity, lots of people and
lots of diversions on site and close by.

Temptations is active active all the time. The resort is
surprisingly compact with 387 rooms located throughout the property in several
hotel buildings, each two or three stories high.
A great disco/night
club on the first floor called "Nice Shoes" ia a great place to see and be
seen. Nightly, usually a short show is presented nightly about 10:30 pm
(subject to change) before the place cranks up. Adjacent to Nice Shoes is a fun
little sports bar with satellite TV for all the scores plus several pool
tables.
Bars and lounges include: Diegos Pool & Swim up Bar,
Paty'O Bar, Alternative Sports Bar, Nargaritas Bar and Bikinis Pool and Swim Up
Bar (Bellavista)
Several lounges, boutiques, bistros, restaurants,
clubs and shops are close by up and down the boulevard near the hotel. If you
can't find enough party action on site, the resort sponsors evening VIP visits
to local night clubs and a nice touch, the resort provides one-way
transportation to the clubs when you buy your tickets nightly in the
Temptation's lobby about 10:30 PM (subject to change). Clubs include: Coco
Bongo, St. Frogs, Basic, Dady'O, The City, Bulldog, Dady Rock (NOTE: This list
will change without notice as new clubs open and old ones close)
Most of the social activity is centered around the pool and
beach bar area plus the lobby bar near the reception area during the day. Night
time, most guests will be busy with dinner and drinks, and then attend the
evening's entertainment. When we were there, the hotel was completely full, so
there were lots of guests around, not quite crowded but very busy. The beach
area is adequate for the guest load but the hotel zone properties are built
right next to each other so the beaches run together. There are no wide open
spaces on this section of the beach so you may feel slightly crowded, compared
to other resorts down the coast such as El Dorado ROYALE or Aventura Palace.
TIPS Just take airport transfers to the resort, and if you
wish, rent a car to see more of the area if you. Otherwise, there is a bus
shuttle that operates up and down the hotel corridor in Cancun's hotel row.
Study a guide book before you arrive in Cancun to plan your stay as
there are numerous tourist activities to take advantage of. If you just want to
sit back and relax, don't bother. There are literally a hundred different sites
and activities to participate in so you might want to plan your time spent
there.
Plan on taking the bus shuttle up and down the hotel zone if you
like to explore, bar hop or shop 'til you drop. The hotel zone is actually
about 12 miles long (or more) from top to bottom.....you really can't walk it
unless you've trained for a marathon......the hotel zone is big! And, the hotel
zone is separate from the town of Cancun. The zona, as it's called, runs for
miles along a peninsula shaped like the numer "7" from north to south.
The beach at water's edge is so shallow, drag a plastic lounge chair
out in the saltwater with a friend, a book, a drink and enjoy your
vacation.
For nightlife, the resort also sponsors an escorted "club
crawl" at 11:30 PM to sample late night fun and games.
Nightly Entertainment

You can travel from next door and also to locations to
within about an hour from the resort and do the following: Shop at open air
markets, dive with the dolphins, take a trip by jet ski through the everglades and lagoons,
dance at a local club, swim, eat, visit Mayan ruins at Tulum, see cultural and
folklorico shows, cruise on a pirate ship or a catamaran, bar hop in Cancun,
visit Cozumel via water taxi from Cancun or Playa del Carmen, enjoy world class
dining in Cancun, visit Isla Mujeres across the bay from Cancun, scuba dive,
visit three water parks with underground rivers and pools called cenotes, go
horseback riding, snorkel and even visit Cuba for a day although it's illegal
for U.S. citizens to do so.
If you have time, visit Perico's
Restaurant in town not far from the hotel, for meals and drinks in a fun,
Mexican atmosphere. Just seeing the place is worth the trip....maybe 10 minutes
by taxi from the hotel.

Resort is fun. |

You may feel slightly crowded on the beach and around
the main pool if the resort is full occupancy. But, now there are 3 pools, with
one for each of your moods: a fun pool for games; a quiet pool and a sexy pool
(for topless/adult fun---remember there are no kids at the resort). |

Every time we've been there, more single girls show
up than guys. Many guests are couples but there is usually a great mix of
singles. |
| |
|
|
|
 |
A good spot for singles to hang out. Lots of people,
lots of variety, a great mix of singles and couples of most ages who all seem
to find someone compatible. |
| |
|
|
|
 |
No single share program (private rooms are
economical) |

Great value for the money. |

Mexico is a year-round, world class destination and Cancun
has great weather with the Caribbean beach water just about perfect anytime.
Summer time is warmer, of course, with hurricane season from late August to
early October adding humidity to the weather equation.
|
|
| |
Establish clothing-optional beaches in Cancun.
THE
BOTTOM LINE Big bang for the buck in a great location if you like being in the
middle of the action including the singles scene.
