 If
you have visited Hedonism # 2 before 2002, upon your return, you may hardly
recognized the public areas, the main beach section, the common grounds
adjacent to the main dining area or the spa facilities. In addition, several
Garden and Ocean View Jacuzzi terrace rooms have been added. Existing rooms
were modified to include an outside Jacuzzi, a fun addition for party minded
folks. The resort's improvements are terrific additions and are
impressive.
Hedonism II is a fun resort for adults only, singles and
couples. The resort has 280 rooms in several two-story buildings with two twin
or king beds in each room. Some rooms face the beach, some are garden view
locations. The resort is really the "Mother of all inclusive, adults only
resorts" and has a world-wide reputation for fun and frolic. Our clients who
visit Hedonism # 2 come from every continent in the world and they're there for
one reason--to have fun. If you like to read a book and vege out, you can do
that, but the place is so active with lots interesting people, you may miss
some of the greatest opportunities to meet the most fun loving people...from
all over the world.
Total beach length is over 1,000 feet long.
Hedonism is between the Point  Condominiums and Grand Lido Negril on
one side and Sandals Negril on the other side. One beach section and building
unit area is called the "prude" beach and the other, the "nude" beach devoted
to clothing-optional sunbathing with building units located there as well.
Within the "prude" and "nude" classifications, you may choose oceanview or
garden view accommodations.
The resort was built in the late 70's, the
first part of the SuperClubs resort chain owned or managed by the John Issa

replaced the original resort called the Negril Beach
Village in 1981. There never was a Hedonism I, leaving many eternally confused.
SuperClubs' newest, Hedonism # 3 in Runaway Bay, is located between Montego Bay
and Ocho Rios on the north side of the island, about 3 hours east by car from
Hedonism # 2.
If you haven't been to Hedonism # 2, go with an open mind
and relax.....you do not have to participate in any of the resort's organized
activities whatsoever...you can just sit back and watch the fun or you can
choose to participate....it's your choice and it's your vacation.
If

 This tropical resort on the far
western tip of Jamaica is built on a beautiful bay facing the Caribbean with
white, sandy beaches throughout the property. Hedonism # 2 is located in
Negril, just over 60 miles west of Montego Bay, Jamaica, at the island's
westernmost point. Hedonism is next door to its sister property, Grand Lido
Negril. Hedonism # 2 occupies about 25 acres. The little town of Negril is
about 5 miles from Hedonism with a craft market and a few bars...the most over
rated of which is Rick's, good for a beer and a sunset. Save your money and
enjoy the nude sunset catamaran cruise right from the resort....and you don't
have to get dressed, either !
Most travelers fly into Montego Bay. You may elect to
take either the complimentary bus shuttle to the resort or fly from Montego Bay
to Negril on an air taxi such as Tim Air. Costs range from $120-$130, round
trip per person and takes 15 minutes. (Price subject to change without notice)
You can buy a one-way ticket if you wish. If you want to take the bus, do so
upon arrival because you may not feel like it on the way back. You can make
reservations at the resort's tour desk.

The beach
road to Negril is scenically wonderful.....and takes a little over an hour to
reach Negril from the Montago Bay airport. You may also take the Tim Air
charter to reduce the trip to 15 minutes. The Negril airstrip is virtually
across the street from Hedonism and its sister property, Grand Lido Negril.
Take your pick of flights that service Jamaica….but plan to fly
into MONTEGO BAY as your final destination since it's the closest international
airport to Braco. Kingston is several hours away over mountainous roads.
Options: Charter airlines worldwide, American Airlines, Continental,
Northwest, U.S. Airways, Delta, British Airways, Condor and many others service
the island, too. The most charters originate in Europe from the UK, Italy,
Germany and the Netherlands. Air carriers are subject to change without notice.

 Hedonism's package is all inclusive
which means all your basics are provided for in one price such as complimentary
bus shuttle from airport, room accommodations, all meals, bar drinks, premium
liquors, water sports, activities, entertainment, theme nights, hotel taxes and
gratuities. All 280 rooms are plain and clean which contain a clock/radio,
telephone,coffee maker and private bath. Other features include fitness center,
racquetball, basketball, sailing, snorkeling, SCUBA diving, tennis, windsurfing
and water skiing. No tipping allowed. Optional activities include trips to the
other side of the bay and nude catamaran sailing trips and sight seeing.
Make sure you ask your waiter's name, introduce yourself, be happy and
converse with the locals. Remember, Jamaica is a low-income island so be
friendly but expect to be offered items for sale on the street. Drugs are
against the law.
 Additions at Hedo # 2 include a rock climbing wall, plunge
pools and swim-up bar in front of the disco on the prude beach, Jamaican Reggae
Cafe open air on the main pool deck, see through hot tub atop the disco, air
conditioning for the disco (applause), jungle bridge and water, large fitness
center, spa and beauty salon, miniature golf, slot machines, Munasan open air
Japanese restaurant adjacent to Veronica's piano bar, upgraded main pool, pool
deck and Jacuzzi and an internet cafe.
The spa additions and treatments
will put Hedo # 2 on the map as one of the finest salons on the island.....so
gals, take your charge cards and prepare to be pampered!
Most rooms are
king bedded anyway, but all the bedding converts to two singles or a king.
Rooms are plain, clean and contain a clock/radio, telephone, satellite TV,
coffee maker and private bath. All bathrooms have been upgraded and the
existing tub has been replaced by a shower stall with multiple shower heads,
great for more than one person to enjoy while sharing the shower!
Hedonism # 2 has 5 bars, 1 main buffet restaurant, 1 Italian ala carte
restaurant, a Jamaican cuisine bistro,a Japanese restaurant, 3 jacuzzis (2
nude), 3 pools (one nude), Veronica's piano bar, shops and lots of parties with
theme nights and entertainment daily.
NOTE: Please take care of your
valuables, cash, airline tickets and passports while on vacation. Some vacation
destinations are considered "third world" countries and experience petty theft.
Recommendation: Do not take precious jewelry unless you wear it all times;
protect your cash, valuables, watches, travel documentation and cameras and
don't expect your in-room safe to be "safe." Take American Express Travelers
Cheques since they are the safest form of currency to have. Theft, while
uncommon, does occur, whether it be by another guest or a local from off site.
Just a word of caution to make sure you remember to practice common sense with
your valuables while you're on vacation. Theft has happened to us and the
culprit was another guest!

 Hedonism # 2 offers four restaurant choices at the resort.
Restaurants include the Reggae Cafe for Jamaican open air dining adjacent to
the main pool and an Asian cuisine bistro called Munasan, adjacent to the main
restaurant near Veronica's piano bar for Japanese dining. Themed restaurants
have proven popular at other SuperClubs resorts and the food preparation lends
a nice diversion to buffet meals.
A full buffet is served in the one
main restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The "fine dining" restaurant
adjacent to the buffet is a pasta bar called "Pastafari." Nothing spectacular
but you have waiters serve your dinner with wine available out of a bottle.
The best jerk chicken is served at the nude beach grill, next to
Delroy's bar at the nude pool, usually around 6 PM most days...a great way to
top off a fun afternoon in the nude pool. Yum Yum!
Jamaican, American
and seafood dishes are featured during the main buffets. The food is plentiful
and filling. Premium liquors are served along with beer and wine.
NOTE:
Pastafari and Munasan Restaurants require reservations. Make your reservations
at the reception desk or guest services well in advance, Don't expect to
"crash" them to be admitted, no matter how many times you've been there.
Weekly there is a Manager's party and repeat guests' reception to Thank
You for support. Typically, the client with the most visits to Hedonism # 3
will receive some free nights on a return visit.

The rooms are priced according to location--nude beach vs. prude beach and
ocean view vs. garden view rooms. Check with us for an exact quote for the

Best room locations on the nude side are
those facing the nude beach around the numbers 2110-2130 and then the 2161-2180
range and upstairs. For less noise but still a good nude side location, the "H"
block rooms run from 2131 to about 2145, Garden Nude rooms. The rooms nearest
the nude pool can be noisy late at night if the nude hot tub attracts a crowd
of partiers. The best and quietest rooms on the resort are opposite the nude
side...at the other end of the resort at the Ocean view rooms on the prude
beach. Prude side Garden view rooms are fairly quiet, too, and are the best
value on the resort.
The single-share program at Hedonism # 2 is a good
deal for single guests, who normally get penalized at most resorts with a
supplemental charge. The single-share program permits you to pay for your room
based on double-occupancy, where the resort assigns you a room mate of the same
gender.

Guest ages vary from the lower 20s to over 60, with most
averaging in between. Some weeks, there are more couples; summertime sees more
singles generally when prices are lower. Couples comprise most of the guests,
although SuperClubs has developed a 3 for 2 package where 3 women can stay for
the price of 2.

 All guest rooms have been renovated. Still, guests don't
usually vacation at Hedonism for its food or rooms--they go to meet other fun
loving extroverts who return year after year. The nude beach, pool and nude hot
tub areas attract most of the laughter and mischief. The disco with its pajama
parties on Tuesdays, Toga night on Thursdays and body painting on the beach all
set the theme for a "summer camp" for adults. There is some type of
entertainment or theme each day and night. People are fun and get a little
crazy. There is so much to do there, however, you sometimes feel like you need
a vacation upon your return to reality.

ALERT: Theme nights are subject to

current schedule can be determined….but please be forewarned: Themes can
change in the middle of the week.
For all its reputation, the grounds
and feel of the place can be quite romantic with a wonderful tropical ambiance,
with beautiful flowers and ivy mixed with huge hardwood trees and palms.
 Hedonism II has an overrated reputation for
indiscriminate sex, in our opinion. While we can't say it never happens, we
find that probably about 10% of the guests are responsible for 90% of the
reputation. To lay the question to rest, management policy from Hedonism says:
public sex is not permitted. If caught breaking the rules, with flagrant,
chronic violations, you can be escorted off the property without a refund. End

ALERT: You may see outright public sex occur around the nude pool
and beach occasionally when large special interest groups are there for the
week.
Dress throughout the resort is CASUAL, with beachwear the
norm from thongs to shorts. Hedonism is NOT a nudist resort, but most of the
guests on the nude side of the beach st ay that way for most of the day. Most
guys and girls wear shorts, T shirts and polos for meals and in the evenings.
Some actually "dress up" for dinner although it's not required.
All
rooms have updated plumbing, water supply and air conditioning improvements but
sometimes a few of the room's A/C compressors have had their share of overload,
so crank the unit down all the way for a cool night.

There are other sights to enjoy locally other than
the beaches, sparkling Caribbean sea and beautiful coral cliffs. The locals are
fun to kid with but be ready to bargain if you find that certain something that
catches your eye.
Escorted tours can be arranged at the resort and
there are a couple of small native craft markets there, one near the resort,
across the street from Grand Lido Negril, adjacent to Hedonism. You can also
choose to visit Montego Bay for a day of shopping, Mandeville for a trip to the
mountains, see Y-S Falls, raft the rivers or visit Dunn's River
Falls near Ocho Rios. At least 20-30 off site tours are available from the tour
desk at the resort. A trip from Negril to Ocho Rios (through Montego Bay) is a
hike, requiring at least 3-4 hours, one way.  An overrated trip to Rick's Cafe on the cliffs in
Negril for a beer at sunset is always a common "in thing" to do. Down the beach
is Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville, good for an afternoon of exploring and
sampling the imported "culture" from Key West. Cosmo's Restaurant is down the
road a mile or so, also good for some of the best and freshest seafood in
Negril... prepared to order.
For a fun and games and little bit
different nightlife off the resort in Negril, try Jimmy Buffett's
Margaritaville, Risky Business and the Jungle for adult mischief. All of these
watering holes are on the main street headed to Negril from Hedonism.

Fall, winter and early spring can be slightly less humid
than late spring and summer. Late spring through fall can bea bit more humid,
with daily rain showers the norm year round. Latte August through early October
can be unstable weather with a hurricane or two skimming around the Caribbean.
Prices are generally higher from about Devember 15 to May 12, with holidays
rates higher than any time during the year.
Be prepared for it to rain
a little almost every day. Standard procedure--hit the hot tub if it does rain
with drink in hand.
