The alerts concern
primarily the border areas between the U.S. and Mexico. Alerts do not include
Cancun, Cozumul, Cabo, Puerto Vallarta, Manzanillo or similar tourism centers.
The primary concerns are on the border of Mexico along the state lines of
Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and southern California.

Resort Overview
U.S. Citizens: Passports are
required for international air travel to all destinations outside the
USA.
Desire Resort (formerly the family resort called the Bahian
Mayan) is an adults only, couples only liberal resort which opened in May 2003
near Puerto Morelos, Mexico, about 15-20 minutes from the Cancun International
Airport.
The owners of the resort classify it as a "Deluxe" property,
to reflect its various services and amenities offered. See Fact Sheet link
shown below.
Desire Resort is the first of several similar resorts to
open in the chain catering to hedonistic adult activity. If you don't know what
hedonistic might mean... you would be advised to call us first before booking
this resort. But... suffice it to say... there may be a fairly "highly-charged"
sexual atmosphere at the resort. The resort is promoted as welcoming only
Male/Female Couples only. No singles, triples or quads permitted.
Desire Resort & Spa is about 12 miles southwest
of the Cancun airport on the beach near a fishing village called Puerto
Morelos.
Puerto Morelos, a non-touristy town of 2,500, is the first
village 20 miles south of Cancun city. Another popular tourist area, Playa del
Carmen is another 20 minutes further south of the resort - so you're secluded
but close to most things for night life and shopping, if you can't find enough
action at the resort.

the USA.
Cancun is a world-class vacation area, served by
numerous airlines from North America, South America and Europe. Both scheduled
air carriers as well as charter flights fly to Cancun with frequent service
from just about anywhere.
Taxis are plentiful and all major rental car
companies are located at the Cancun airport. A shuttle from the airport is the
cheapest way to reach the resort. You can arrange for shuttle service in the
arrivals hall near the airport exit. Airport transfers can range from
$30-$150/person, depending upon type of vehicle selected. Price subject to
change without notice. Taxi rates are typically fixed prices for transportation
from the airport. Puerto Morelos has taxis that serve the resort, just a few
minutes from the town's square.
Water taxis to and from Cozumel are also
available from Playa del Carmen and from Cancun. Water taxi tickets can be
purchased right at the dock.
Frequent bus service to other parts of
Mexico is also available in Puerto Morelos at the terminal located downtown on
5th Avenue.

Suki:
This is a new specialty restaurant with Asian cuisine and sushi bar.
Il Piacere: This restaurant & cocktail bar which
serves fine international cuisine maintains its flair and decoration.
Coconut Snack & Grill: The area open for lunch and
snacks is re-designed to be more functional and is new.
Room
Service: Enjoy Desire’s deliciously complete menus from the
privacy of your own guest room 24 hours a day. Snuggle up for breakfast in bed,
have a leisurely lunch in the late afternoon or simply plan for a romantic
night in with your favorite guest.

Lobby Bar: Now completely transformed as the "Desire
Lounge", re-designed to become a beautiful lounge area with bar service
and beds for clients to enjoy. This area includes the second swimming pool now

Jacuzzi Lounge Bar: A clothing optional Jacuzzi lounge & bar reserved
exclusively for guests. (Jacuzzi accommodates up to 30
people)
L'Alternative Disco Lounge: Dance the night away and
enjoy making new friends. NOTE: There is an on-premises party area for couples
in the "back room" behind the disco stage.

decorated Villa Rooms offering lush garden view or ocean view featuring: King

Safety deposit box, Bathroom with shower, Coffee maker, Blow dryer and Balcony
or terrace."
Jacuzzi Suite The resort describes them as
having: One king bed, Air conditioning, Satellite TV and Music selection,
Telephone, Safety deposit box, Spacious bathroom with Jacuzzi large enough for
two couples, Coffee maker, Blow dryer, Welcome bottle of sparkling wine upon
arrival, Use of bathrobes , and a Balcony or terrace.
Passion Suite The resort
describes them as containing a Bedroom with King bed, Sensual living room
connecting with the bedroom, Daily Continental Breakfast on terrace, Daily
afternoon Hors d' oeuvres with sparkling wine on terrace, Air conditioning,
Satellite TV and Music selection, Telephone, Electronic safety deposit box,
Coffee maker, Blow dryer, Spacious bathroom complete with a Jacuzzi large
enough for two couples, Welcome bottle of sparkling wine upon arrival, Use of

Age Ranges
Guest ages are likely to vary from the lower 20s to over
60, with most in their 30's to 50's. Couples Only.
Ambiance
Desire Resort
& Spa is not actually a total new construction, rather a re-work and update
of a previously existing property. There is some new room construction as well
as many amenities that previously did not exist.
Some of the areas are au naturel or
nude but most of the resort's grounds do require some type of clothing. In
those cases, the resort is CASUAL, with beachwear the norm from thongs to
shorts. Most guys and girls wear shorts, T shirts, cover-ups, see throughs and
polos for meals during the day but in the evenings you can expect anything and
everything from casual to leather and lace depending on what the evenings theme
may be. Some may actually "dress up" for dinner although it's not required.
Most combinations of undress are found on the beach and around the water sports
areas.
Generally, the main pool, a large hot tub and lounging deck
upstairs and a major portion of the beach are nude or clothing optional.

PROGRAM: Desire Resort & Spa Riviera Maya activities and
entertainment program has been designed with fun and sensually themed
activities both day and night lead by Desire Riviera Maya friendly Activities
Team. If you are an active participant or just relaxed spectator, you are sure
to be enticed by our playful and provocative program of sports, games and
entertainment.
DAYTIME ACTIVITIES During the day,
guests will enjoy a broad array of sport activities: yoga classes, sexy aqua
fitness, water polo and basketball, beach and water volleyball and many more
beach and pool games. For the more adventurous we offer sexy wishes, sexy
darts, belly dance, pole dance lessons and the famous daily “Desire

MONDAY - BLACK TIES AND HIGH HEELS Offering International live
sounds by the band Sincronia, and funk dancers show, this is a night of a
sophisticated, sexy touch that will surely engage every one. In the disco,
enjoy an exhilarating atmosphere with games and activities like our
“swing” contest where the participants, all tied up, try to come up
with the craziest positions.
TUESDAY - JEANS AND SEXY WHITE At
Melange Lounge, party with the great music of our DJ and enjoy a memorable
evening of fun and activities. The entertainment team will provoke an
interesting interaction among all of guests with lively games such as jello
bodyshots, tequila shots and much more.
WEDNESDAY EYES WIDE SHUT
NIGHT An absolute must. Based on Mr. Kubrick’s movie, a sensual
ceremony takes place in the disco. Only the guests in their masks, capes and
with the magic password will be allowed to participate in this ritual, that
will come to an exciting climax with the “eve” show. A rock band and
circus acts will complement this spectacular night.
THURSDAY - GUEST
D.J. PARTY Every week, a different D.J. from Cancun plays the latest tunes
with their unique styles. The Melange Lounge is transformed into a spectacular
platform for go-go dancers as well as fire and acrobatic acts. The night takes
a mystic turn when entertainers appear carrying huge snakes and perform exotic
moves beyond your imagination.
FRIDAY - LINGERIE NIGHT To exploit
this already traditional night at Desire to the fullest, six judges select who
the sexiest contestant on the catwalk is. The contest winners will receive nice
prizes that could include upgrades and free stays at Desire. The evening offers
an intimate feeling with the sounds of live sax music and the party continues
in the disco.
SATURDAY - "LEATHER IN THE TROPICS" WELCOME PARTY
Get out your leather gear and join in this hot "Welcome to Paradise" Party. The
Reggae Band "La Piel" will perform sensual rhythms while you savor special
tropical concoctions and loosen up at the outdoor Melange Lounge. Rip the night
away with more dancing, contests and activities at the Disco until the wee
hours.
SUNDAY - SEXY SUPERHEROES NIGHT This is the “be
creative” night at Desire. Bring your superhero costume and join in for
drinks at the lobby lounge where Mauro, the D.J. will be playing the music of
your preference. Walk down the red carpet with your better half where paparazzi
will be taking your pictures and projecting them on our big screen. Security
will be at the entrance of the lobby and disco and only the "sexiest
superheroes” will be admitted to the disco where there we will be the
superhero contest with judges. All those not participating will enjoy the rest
of the night at the Melange Lounge.

Appropriate dress attire is required in
restaurants.
Due to the nature of our Resort, please respect all
guests. Photos or videotaping in public areas is NOT permitted.
Please refrain from overt sexual activities in public
areas.
Please treat all guests with the utmost respect, and
remember the Golden Rule: "NO" means "NO."
The reservation of the Palapa Beds is not permitted. If
belongings are found on the beds or beach chairs, they will be sent to the
front desk as Lost & Found.
The Hotel is not responsible for lost items left out of
the safety deposit box.

Sightseeing
With the hotel close to everything, you can choose from
many activities when you leave the resort. Here's just a partial list of things
to do:
Shopping in Cancun, cruising the bars/discos/clubs
in Playa del Carmen or Cancun, snorkeling and swimming in the natural lagoons
at Xcaret or Xel-ha to the south, visiting the Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza to
the northwest or Tulum to the south, fishing or diving on the Mayan Reef, the
second longest barrier reef in the world, extending all the way to Belize.
Optional escorted tours with driver and guide can be arranged at the resort,
with transportation that will pick you up right at the resort for your guided
tour.
Did You Know...
Castaways Travel KNOWS the
surrounding area,including Cancun and Playa del Carmen to help you plan to
get the most out of your holiday in and around Desire and the local areas.
Or, choose to swim with the Atlantic bottlenose
dolphin just off the beach or ride horseback in the nearby jungle. If you want
to see more of the area, you can go down to Playa del Carmen and catch a water
taxi to cross the channel to Cozumel for about $8-$12/person/round trip (prices
subject to change without notice). Trip takes about 30-45 minutes, depending
upon the weather….or if the waves are running high. Deep sea/bill fishing
and SCUBA diving can be arranged from the hotel, too.
For a fun night
life experience in Playa del Carmen at an upscale watering hole and guest
hotel, try the Deseo Bar & Cantina off of 5th Avenue. A slick place to be
sure and not just the same old thing as you would find "bar hopping." Ask any
local there where the Deseo is located. You can't get lost on 5th Avenue... the
street only runs 10-15 blocks and is arguably the "heart" of "Playa." There are
numerous other places to hang your hat in Playa including Sr. Frogs, the Blue
Parrot plus lots of other hang out. Cancun has its share of night life
including the Krystal and other night clubs. Have fun!
Uppers-Downers
The consensus of most of our clients seems to be: You
will love it or hate it, depending upon the amount of fun you have or what type
of experience you're looking for. Couples looking for a liberal atmosphere and
sensual ambiance may find it at Desire, while others may judge the experience
to be "over the top."
The resort can be a bit crowded if it's sold out
especially if a group is on site when you're there on your vacation. If no
group is in house, the resort can be somewhat tame by comparison.
The liberal atmosphere specifically catering to
hedonistic couples attracts its share of the market….especially when an
adults only group is in the resort.
Room rates for Garden and Ocean view accommodations
are priced at those comparable to similar adults only Jamaican resorts such as
Couples, Swept Away and Hedonism.
The roof top hot tub and disco party room are the
most likely places for adult fun.
Desire is close to the airport and near lots of sight
seeing on the Yucatan Peninsula

Best Time to Go
Just about year round. Late summer - August and September -
can be more humid and prone to hurricanes in the Caribbean. Also remember that
this is Mexico and while even in the summer months there is usually a cooling
breeze off of the water, but once you go inland or into town... it can get
really hot. Also remember that you're in the tropics so you should expect some
rain anytime, anywhere, unannounced.
Wish List
Hey, just get it over with... just make the entire resort
clothing-optional and be done with it!
Wish the resort was bigger.
(Desire may be sold out often' when it is at its max of 110 couples, the pool
and dining facilities pool side can get crowded.)
