Alert: All travelers to Mexico should be aware of recent Travel
Alerts issued by the U.S. Government about security problems in some areas of
Mexico. The majority of the serious issues are in border areas such as Ciudad
Juarez, Tijuana and Nogales. The tourist areas in non border tourist areas such
as the Maya Riviera (Cancun to Tulum) Cozumel, Puerto Vallarta, Cabo, Acapulco,
etc... have not been heavily impacted. Bottom Line: The key line of the official alert reads: "Common-sense precautions such as visiting only legitimate business and tourist areas during daylight hours, and avoiding areas where prostitution and drug dealing might occur, can help ensure that travel to Mexico is safe and enjoyable." | U.S. Citizens: Passports are required
for international air travel to all destinations outside the
USA. Club Med has transformed itself from what you might have known about the resort from the 70's and 80's. Nudity and a highly charged sexual atmosphere is now an exception to the norm. However, topless for the ladies is still a common practice at virtually all the Club Med resorts even though most of the resorts in the Club Med chain are now family oriented resorts with a generous helping of kid friendly programming. Two Club Med resorts are ADULT ONLY, one in the Turks and Caicos and another in Cancun. Here is a brief synopsis of those two. For those of you who don't know... Club Med has a number of All-Inclusive resorts throughout the Caribbean and much of the rest of the world. (Alcoholic beverages may NOT be included in all packages so be sure to check and airport transfer policy varies from resort to resort) Prices vary widely by resort and season, however there are some really nice specials as travel has been down in to the Caribbean.  The resort
itself has undergone a recent remodel and is looking much better for the
effort. Nudity Status: Also the area does offer nude sunbathing opportunities, if not on the resort itself. A relatively short walk (to the right as you face the water) will take you past a few other developed properties to a series of secluded beaches and coves regularly used for nude sunbathing. There are no facilities and little shade so plan on taking your own drink and watch out for that hot Caribbean sun. |

 The resort is a popular stop for young Americans, yet the crowd often
varies to include a lot of Europeans and guests from 18 to 80. Snorkeling is
popular as is watching Albert the crocodile in the lagoon
area.Nudity Status: Topless is common in the pool area and on the beach most of the time. "Un-official" nudity and an occasional mass skinny-dip has been seen, especially after midnight. Rarely a few uninhibited guests try to stretch the "no nudity" policy in the corners of the pool area, grounds and beach. |
